Damen- Model Headshots

I love an evocative male headshot. This is from a photographer/model meetup I went to in August, but only now have I found time to start editing my non paid work. Over the last ten years of doing photography, open group events that have all skill levels attending have always been one of my favorite things to attend. I make friends with other photographers and sometimes I'm lucky enough to scout some undiscovered talent like Damen, who had never modeled before this event.

Shot in natural light. If I recall correctly, the sidewalk we were standing on acted as a reflector from below. I had an assistant this day who's job was to hold my reflector, but I don't believe I actually had him there for this shot.

Canon 5D MKI, Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens set to f/4, 1/400th sec, ISO 800.

Great shot and amazing eyes. If I was to nit pick id say that the shadow above the left eye and to the side looks too dark. Nice shot though.

I like it. Without the shadow there wouldn't be any shape to define his brow.

Wow! All three are great, but #1 is my favorite by far.

He has incredible eyes.
