I got to shoot Danny Gokey for our local newspaper. I was restricted to shoot from basically one spot. Critiques are encouraged.

the lighting is mostly stage lighting though right? Thats not your flash on Danny?

Yes, for the most part it is all stage lighting. My Flash was set to -3 EV so the flash would come off too harsh. The flash was also at an upward angle and not directly pointing at him. Thanks

I did watch that season of AI. He was good but his song selection was horrid.
