Dark Prints

Hi,

I have been printing photos on my HP printer for a couple of years, but since replacing the cartridges the last time the photos have gone dark. I have printed a colour test and the colours seem fine.

Any idea what could be causing this change?

Seems odd that the cartridge change would cause it. Have you moved your monitor at all? Is it calibrated? Is it possible that the settings on your monitor got bumped?

Cartridges were refilled, or generic carts used.

I don't think any of the monitor settings got changed and also the photos have not been edited at all (photos look the same on the monitor as they do on the camera screen)

Cartridges were replaced like for like - refilled magenta and blue, HP yellow, black not changed

That may be it.

Don't trust the LCD on the back of the camera, because you use it in a wide variety of ambient light.
Calibrating your computer display regularly is also recommended.
