Mine doesn't seem to offer too much in the way of diffusion. The pics above were taken using a shaded window at about 7am this morning... already too much light, or I'm just not able to work with the light like I should be able to yet.

Halogen lamps are cheap at home depot, and you can go to a dollar tree to get transparent shower curtains. Eureka! 6' x 12' tungsten softbox!!!

You just need to be able to see how light works.

man, maybe its a USA thing, but i've noticed a lot of people on this forum have a gun.. mostly 9mm... is USA that ghetto that everyone needs a gun?

The "ghetto" pistol I posted a picture of is a custom handgun of which only 500 are built a year. 200+ of those hand built handguns go to the FBI HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) and the rest are sold to collectors. There is about a year waiting list to get one and it carries a $2,400 price tag. I don't believe that's "ghetto". It's also a .45 ACP.

I didn't start this thread to have a 2nd Amendment discussion. I would ask that you not turn this into a political debate and leave it as a photo discussion, please.

So, today I ran around looking for a light box to purchase. I couldn't find one, so I went ahead and made one. Here it is.

Here's the very first picture I've taken using the new light box.

The subject is another semi-custom handgun built by Ed Brown. It's called a "Kobra Carry" and it is my daily carry pistol. I pulled it out of my holster after building the light box, unloaded it and used it for my first test subject.

Guys i have edited a few posts.. the OP is totally correct, there is no need to start political debate about these photos.... MANY threads of this nature have been deleted in the past because of peoples beliefs on gun use in thier countries.
