-What's the worst date you've ever had?
I haven't really had a bad date....once in high school I went out with a guy to see a play but we just had nothing in common and got lost on the way. Wasn't horrible but it was probably the worst.

-What's the best date you've ever had?
When Aubrey first moved here we went to see Hero and we were the only ones in the theater....driving back home we got pulled over by the police because, according to them we had a tail light out....except they turned to pull us over before they could see the back of the car. We had the top down and were laughing...they probably thought we had been drinking, though we hadn't. Anyway, the cop come up and says "Where are you coming from?" as he looks directly at the HUGE tub of popcorn between the seats. We tried so hard not to laugh It was a really nice night because it was so relaxed. It was a wonderful time getting to know each other in person, after having just talking via IM and on the phone a few times before he moved here.

-What age were you allowed to start dating?
About 16 on dates with guys only, but probably 13 when I could go out group outings

-Would you or have you ever kissed on the first date? (keepin it PG folks )
Yes

-What's the cheapest and then the most expensive date you've ever had?
Cheapest: Hmmm....most of what we do these days is cheap Going to the park with the kids, etc

Most expensive: My ex loved good food so we often went to pretty expensive restaurants

-Where and what was the most romantic date you've been on?
Hmmm...I think how Aubrey proposed was pretty romantic. He wanted to take me on a picnic but the weather didn't cooperate and he had to improvise on the car while it rained. I think the most romantic thing he's done was send me a fruit and veggie basked while I was away on business a few weeks ago. I don't think our relationship is in the relm of normal "romance", but just the way he treats me, and my boys, and his soon to be daughter makes every day a happy one. No flowers or chocolate needed

-Is dating over rated?
I don't think so, but I think people worry too much about it. Dating is just a time to get to know each other. I've seen so many people spend money they don't have to try and impress someone....that part I think is over rated.

-What is todays date Okay time for sleep after that one...

Not usually! I used to have to know a girl really well before I'd let them near me but then I met my wife!........

-What's the cheapest and then the most expensive date you've ever had?
Cheapest date was escorting my wife-to-be to her university to drop off some coursework. 2nd time I'd ever seen her & definately didn't start off as a date! I'd been working at her parents house cutting down a tree! I was supposed to look after her & the snow & ice was so bad it took us 2 hours when it should have been 30 mins! Definately the best date too!

Most expensive was taking a girlfriend to a fancy restaurant for a meal. Cost loads even then and when we came out they had closed & it was raining. At this point we discovered the keys were locked in the car! I had to do a Patrick Swaze and smash the rear window to get her home! The meal and the window (and keeping her dad happy afterwards) turned out to be very expensive!

-Would you ever date someone off the internet?
Probably! I used to have to know a girl really well as a friend before I trusted them enough to date. For some reason it was all different with my wife and we "really" got on on our first date!

-Where and what was the most romantic date you've been on?
Last day of our honeymoon (if that's still a date?) After the big adventure together touring Norway (she'd navigated the whole way round!) & ending on their independance day celebrations in Oslo! The whole day was unreal like a huge carnival and the people were really nice!

-Is dating over rated?
Not for kids! It's all about the excitement & nervousness. For adults it's pointless and far better to concentrate on just having a good time!

-What is todays date Okay time for sleep after that one...
I really dunno! It's been a long weekend & my PC has crashed big time! The time & date no longer works!

It has to be when a guy took me to the theatre and got himself a little too drunk for my liking and made a prat of himself, trying to impress me.

-What's the best date you've ever had?
I would have to say, it was when a guy i knew, took me out for the day and took me to a secluded part of the beach in the early evening, for me to find he had made up a picnic, we talked, laughed, danced, mucked about in the sea, until we lay under the stars until about 2 in the morning.

-What age were you allowed to start dating?
I was never set any boundaries, when i was growing up.

-Would you or have you ever kissed on the first date? (keepin it PG folks )Not normally, i prefer to get to know a bit about the person, but maybe a kiss on the cheek perhaps?

-What's the cheapest and then the most expensive date you've ever had?Hmm. I'm not really one for keeping track of money, it shouldn't really matter, its about who you're with thats important, and no amount of money should change that.

All my dates have had romance in them, isn't that what dates are all about?

-Is dating over rated?I think to an extent, yes, but its always the excitement of meeting the person you really like, and hoping it will go somewhere.

What's the worst date you've ever had?
When I was 17, I fixed a guy's car and he asked me out for lemonade, cookies and a walk on the beach. I ended up dumping him in the ocean because he tried to get in my pants even though I was extremely unwilling. I ended up having to drive him home soaking wet. Well, at least that little dip in the ocean cooled him off.

What's the best date you've ever had?
It wasn't really a traditional date but wandering (4x4-ing) through the Arizona desert to take pictures with my boyfriend this last winter and spring.

What age were you allowed to start dating?
16 and even then, I wasn't allowed out past 9:30pm at best

What's the cheapest and then the most expensive date you've ever had?
Cheapest - sitting for 2+ hours with my ex sharing a burger and a coke at Carl's Jr because we were too poor to have real dates.
Most expensive - Dinner out at a fancy place

Would you ever date someone off the internet?
In the past, I would have said no but now I'm changing my answer to yes. I initially met my boyfriend here on this forum but we didn't start dating until after meeting face to face.

Where and what was the most romantic date you've been on?
I think all dates are romantic but my most romantic moment wasn't really during a date. I came home one day after having the day from hell. My boyfriend led me to the living room, put on some music and danced with me. It was so sweet, it made me forget all of my worries of that day.

Is dating over rated?
Not a chance! Long live romance!!! :heart:
