Trying out some new angles for this season, pretty happy with courtside access.

ISO was 6400 shutter speed was about 640. Might have been able to squeeze 1/800 but I was going for about +1 exposure as an experiment. Found that by using NR on a brighter picture, there is less grain and less loss of sharpness.

Thoughts on either the action or anything really.

1. Through the net spike

2. Serve through net

3. Block that ball

4. Block again

Nicely captured; perhaps slightly less DoF next time to allow the background to be less distracting?

I would if I could. However, they would have to light a few more candles to brighten the place up! If I wasn't at 2.8, I'd have to either lower my speed or crank ISO up to 12800. And that's too noisy.

"Less depth of field" = larger aperture. If you were already at 2.8 on a 2.8 lens, then nothing more you could do.

Ah yes, after I read your post and made my reply I realized my error. Thanks. And yes I was wide open.
