The first seems a bit OOF to me, but the background and foreground exposures are just right. The other two are a little too flashy; need some shutter drag an a little negative bias on the flash exposure, methinks.
First photo is soft, like your autofocus didn't lock on well.
The second two look great except for one (big) issue. The background, is way too busy. I know that there was nothing you could do (which sucks), but that's the bummer part.
You're doing the right things, just pick a background that's closer, and more uniform (one color, equidistance, etc.) and these photos will be much more awesome.
