Dawn on a Working River

Went walking this morning along the Mississippi flood wall just south of downtown. It's all heavy industry but sunrise can soften some of the ugly. Looking back north toward the city the MacArthur bridge dominates the river -- rail traffic only it's a busy bridge. The last photo is the USS Inaugural which sank in the great flood of 1993 -- low water right now makes it visible. Oly Pen E-PL9 w/14-42mm

I like that you can walk up to the water's edge. Would not expect that anywhere along the river that close to the city.
