I am re-posting the thread since it appears an error occurred during the prior post which does not allow for viewing of the pictures. The subject is a far cry from "Wildlife" and in my humble opinion these shots can be described as "Portraits." If not please move to a more suitable category and pardon me. I haven't been to this site in awhile, but I'll give critique a shot...

The dog is very cute; however, it seems like they are all a little blurry. It looks like the shutter speeds are all a little slow for animal/handheld shots. I'd try bumping the ISO up and re-shooting with faster shutter speeds. You may want to try a smaller F-stop as well since the DOF would be very small.

Thanks for your critique, I agree 100% with what you said. After my initial posting I did a little cursory research into the "Triangle" and I came to the same conclusion. Thanks for taking time from your hectic day to offer a "positive" critique - Have A Great Weekend!!!

Yup, I'd be looking for at a shutter speed of at least 1/125th sec for these type of shots. Depth of field at 2ft from subject at 35mm is just over 1" so stop down. Even at 3ft and f11 your depth of field would be 0.4ft so thats still shallow enough to blur the background. Personally though I think these shots are difficult to do well without supplimental lighting.

Compositionally the last is the best (cute shot too) though I think it would have been improved if you'd given a bit more room to create more space above the dogs head and so the two toys in front were not chopped.
