An elderly man had just gotten a new and first set of dentures and was having terrible troubles adjusting and had gone into the dentist office to complain.
"Dr," he said, "the irritation is something fierce and I just can't think of anything else."
"Well, that's it. You need to take your mind off of the dentures," said is dentist, "why not go fishing? You'll get out there on the beautiful lake. The birds will be singing the fish will be biting and you'll soon forget the dentures."
The old man shrugged and went off.
The next morning the dentist ran into him at the coffee shop and said, "How'd it go?"
"Well, you were right", said the old man."I was out there fishing and it was a beautiful day and the birds were singing. Not two minutes after I rowed to my favorite spot and dropped in my line, I had this enormous strike.
The damn fish was huge and, in my excitement, I stood up and lost my balance. As I fell over the side I caught my genitals on the oar lock and, for the next 30 seconds or so, I completely forgot about my dentures."
