This is "Wreckage", one of our resident yearlings that was struck by a vehicle a couple months ago. She sustained a lot of scrapes and a broken ankle but she is now fine and getting around good. I looked out and noticed something "wrong" with her mouth but upon examining this closeup image it appears she has been licking on the mineral salt block we have down at the end of our property. Its the same "shade", I mean, color of the salt block. Later in the day I say her licking it some more. Maybe she had a hot date lined up that evening!
