Desert Sunset

not very original, i know, but i love the colors... i took this earlier in the week while trying to get a good shot for this weeks "orange" assignment, this one is a little different than the one I posted over there. It only received a slight crop and then resized and border added.

actually, the silhouette helps to hide the street about 20 feet in front of me, the chainlink fence on the other side and the small reflection you see there is from a water treatment facility with industrial just to the left cropped out of the frame... I had to drive for ten minutes to get around the huge power lines intruding on my shot...

hope i didn't spoil the romance of the shot for ya

actually i'm only about 20 minutes away from a nice lake, but i was afraid I would miss the best light. and they charge $5. i have an issue with paying to be in "nature"...

Here's a shot i purposely overexposed so I could play with combining two photos...
