It was a very grey and dull day so I did it B&W, never a good idea to try and get the colors that is not there... hope the composition make it an okey photo atleast.

I find that it lacks something to anchor it, or something. I understand the concept but it just isn't doing anything for me.

Are those buildings on the left? I think if they were more dominant in the frame it would be more interesting.

That's my opinion anyways.

I can see how the field stalks jutting out the ground caught your eye in this snowscape, but that portrayal is gone with such a wide photo expanse.

I shot it a little to wide did'nt I? I tried to capture the feeling of lonelyness and a kind of deserted feeling. Maybe if I had moved in on those grasstraws in the ground and tried to get the buildings a little more dominant I guess It would have made the image more interesting. I just have to make another try then don't I?

That is what I was thinking. You should also pick up some texture from the snow if you get closer to the ground. Go back soon before the snow melts.

Like so many scenes with a lot of white in them, it looks under exposed (gray snow) because of the way a DSLR's light meter is calibrated - to 12% to 18% gray.

When there is a lot of white in a scene, + EV exposure compensation has to be added.
