Desktop for basic photo editing

Hi, hope this is the proper sub forum for this question...any advice for desktops/monitors that would be good for basic photo editing tasks within programs like Lightroom and Photoshop? Specs I should be looking for as far as RAM, processor type...gracias!

Basic editing (straightening, cropping etc) can be done with a basic, bare-bones machine.

The machine requirements for any software will be listed on the box or on the maker's websites. Meet those requirements (and 99.999% of computers probably will) and you're all set.

Just watch out for 2GB of VRAM if you want a 4k display or higher. 1GB VRAM if not.

As far as monitors are concerned if you are not gaming an IPS display should be good. Try here:
