Nice set Sharon! I hate to burst your bubble but those aren't Snipes. Hopefully they are still lifers... they are Dunlin.

Snipe will have much heavier striping on the back and you won't usually find them in salt water.

Huh. A birder who was there told me they were Snipes. Oh and this want salt water. It was a freshwater holding pond. I think. Heck maybe the holding ponds there are salt water!

Anyway, yes, a Dunlin would still be a lifer, but would also mean the scope hunt must go on.
