Destination Wedding

I had the pleasure to shoot a wedding in The Dominican Republic. It made for a nice break in the middle of a chilly Canadian winter.

What kind of processing did you do to the skies? They almost look a little off in 2,3, and 5. Could be me, and I do like the pictures.

Looks like it was a fun shoot! The beach group shot is wonderful - seems to capture the essence of the "destination wedding". Everyone looks great.

Just some tweaks in Lightroom. In most of them, I tried to really bring out the 'blue sky' aspect because while it was very sunny most of the time we were there, the day of the wedding was cloudier than usual. Plus, I just like white clouds against blue skies.
So to that end, I bumped up the saturation, vibrance etc. I used the (digital) grad filter and added heavier than normal vignettes etc.

When taken out of sequence and only showing a few samples, I do see that, as a set, the look a bit off....each being so different from the last. But with all the photos together, each location is fairly consistent (except for when specifically processed to be otherwise...black & white, sepia or duo toned etc.).

Beautiful location! Almost looks like a back drop because of the view being so unreal on that beach. I think #7 is my favorite because of the gorgeous sky. The only think that takes away from it is the lighting. Shadows and highlights look a bit harsh.

For some reason #6 stand out to me. I think its because their skin tone looks a bit desaturated compared to the other shot at what I'm guessing is the same location.
