I used only window lighting and a white sheet to take this picture since I do not have a studio setup or speedflash.

Timing was critical -- right after a nap with treats in hand, otherwise he is entirely too hyper. You can see he still looks a little sleepy

not saying you should have used this on this shot, but a handy accessory to have is a homemade reflector. i use one alot when i am using window light.

mine is a piece of cardboard covered in aluminum foil........crumple the foil first.

white or gold posterboard works well too

Thanks for the compliments and pointers. Here is one more. I like his facial expression better in this one, but the composition more in the first... (I don't like where his foot is chopped)

i agree about the foot.

the reflector would have came in handy on this one to help light the other side of his face.

ha ha i know what you mean. i have a pitbull pup that is very cute but he is a terror as well.
