Question: How do I get the most out of my DSLR?
I'm a bit confused about how to shoot in different lights, how to defuse flash, direct it, and what works and what doesn't, what settings will help me get the more.. professional edge? (complimented by shooting in raw and photoshop)

Wow that's a pretty big range of questions. I think if you hunt around the tutorial section, you should find a lot of what your asking for. You're 15, so you've got time to work on getting the "professional edge" which is good because it doesn't happen overnight. Read up, practice, ask more specific question, and post pictures, and practice some more. Oh and first things first, start with shutter speeds and apertures and composition to begin with.
