theres not a whole lot of difference, but i'd say theres too much in the black highlights

looks good to me - the boosted contrast adds some needed life to the photo.

agree with coochman adds life, not too much at all

Nope, I agree with the others, I think if done correctly you could push it even further if you want

cool. thank you.
As far as the actual picture goes, how is the set up?
Is there too much space on the bottom of the picture?
What would be a better way to position the car?

thank you much.

I think the shot is actually a bit dark to begin with, but as far as the PS work I think it's tastefully done. The road came out a LITTLE weird, but...

Yes sir.
I took The shot using the wrong shutter speed.. :(

i think the owner went too far in taking off the infinity symbol :x

other than that i think u did an awesome job

You probably should have picked a better spot. Next time keep in mind where the sun is and how it's going to affect your photo.

So what's the big object obscuring the light that was to the right and behind you?

somewhere inbetween both looks good to me....original is just a bit dark whilst the processed version has good parts and some parts that aren't too convincing

the original grille was a nissan grille... ;)
I don't like the burger look.

Might want to get rid of the pink flag in front of the car and the trash on the ledge behind it and on the ground around it.

I'm new here, so I apologise if I'm taking a bit of a liberty, but...

You show a lot of the background, but only the wood is nice to look at. Directly behind the nice car is a bunch of litter and confusion. A tighter crop would help. Tradition says to give more room to where the person is looking, or in this case where the car is pointing. As long as you've got Photoshop, you might have a play along the lines of:

Also, I took out a bit of cyan and blue, and used the Shadow filter a bit. Otherwise, the contrast is much as you had it.

When I copied your shot off the page and opened it in Photoshop, I noticed it was much less red than it appears in my browser (Firefox on a Mac). I also notice that some shots I've posted look more red than I've intended. Am I alone here, or do others notice this "reddening" of images?

So, to the original question, "did you go too far with photoshop", I'd say not far enough.

Cheers.

Nice car.

Not quite sure how the original was a Nissan, when it is a Infinity G35, not a 350Z. Nice car though, I have the exact same. Needs twin turbos though.
