I saw a picture on another forum that I thought was interesting where the photographer combined a picture of a person looking straight at the camera and one where they were shown in profile. I would copy the link to the one that inspired me, but I can't find it now. Anyways, here's mine. I haven't spent a lot of time working with CS6 yet, so keep that in mind. What do you think?

I think it's a fine idea but you should work more on it

I remember the photographers work quite well. I would suggest next try not using a soft brush for masking out the face. It makes the transition stand out a bit to much

Also even though it may be true to the outline the between the eyes and nose feels a bit too indented

Without seeing what inspired you, and simply looking at your example, I will say that it is a creative idea, but should be done more artistically. There are many ways to combine the two images, so you should keep working on it.

IMO the turned nose that appears in the regular photograph is not working. At all. Put that back to normal and then continue working on the silhouette part of it. BTW: The long hair does not work well in silhouette. It just turns into an undefined blob.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I really need to take a course on photoshop. There are just so many things you can do with it, it's a little overwhelming.
