hi,

On my digital cameras lens it says 6.3mm-63mm and i know from reading the camera specifications that the equivalent focal length in 35mm standards is 42mm-420mm.

How do i work out the focal length given by my digital cameras exif data and convert it to 35mm standard?

Thanks

42/6.3=420/63=6.7 is the crop factor for your camera sensor. Multiply the focal length from the EXIF file by the crop factor to get the 35mm focal length equivalent.
