Digital photo collaboration/sharing tools for a wedding

I'm not sure if this is even the right forum for this but I don't know where to post it so here it goes.
Someone I know asked me if I know of any tools that would allow people participating in a wedding to upload any potential photos they take to a single gallery/storage site since (almost) everyone has a camera phone these days. The parents of the bride want to be able to send out a link to a website to all the invitees. The website would be password protected. Once the password is entered, the user would be allowed to upload photos from their computer, tablet, mobile phone, etc... Ideally no app would need to be installed on each device uploading photos. Have you seen or heard of such beast?
