Can others edit my Photos

So lately I have been really into taking pictures of my husband and his friends playing disc golf. I am using a Nikon D70 (total noob with the camera so I am still messing around with settings and whatnot). Anyways, any suggestions, tips or hints would be appreciated!!

Faster shutter speed will get rid of the motion blur thats really obvious in the second pic..., get more in front of them for a few shots, mix up the composition a bit, kind of like in pic one.

I would thing that the best shots would be the body language when a 40 foot put bounces off the basket and rolls down a hill.

As someone who has recently gotten into disc golf, I've carried the camera with me while playing a few times. The thing I've finally figured is positioning. That's key with disc golf.

I've shot all the "big" sports and do quite well, usually. The first time I shot disc golf was awful. Exposure off. Shutter off. Everything. The thing is the disc is so thin and comes out of a hand so fast usually, you have to run off a few shots.

And feel safe.

I've gotten to the point where I go ahead of people now. I'll shoot from behind a tree or the basket, or just cross my fingers I can duck. I'm still not where I want to be with the shots, but I've realized that putting yourself in a spot to get some wild angles or have the disc coming at you really sells it.

I really like that first one you posted because of his positioning and you can see part of his face.

This is one of the ones I've done recently I'm decently happy with. I'm hoping to test things out a little more this weekend on another round or two. This one had too much DOF in it and the thrower is a little too soft for my liking, but I like the overall feel of it.

IMO:
Agreed. Being in front is the way to go.

I'll have to look around for one of my pics to post too. Personally I like the pics from the back on drives and front view of the putt (like softball29).

I have a side view of a putt showing player, basket and disc flying. I'll try to scan it. Its an old one from a disposable camera. Probably my favorite of a 100 or so point and shoot digis.

I'm playing a pretty hilly and woodsy course Saturday, so I might lug the camera around for one of the nines (there is a really wild signature hole I'd like to get a few action shots on). If I get anything worthwhile, I'll try and throw a couple up here.

Interesting take on the from the back on the drives and from the front on the putts. Kind of makes sense though -- outside of the rearend in the photo. You get a view of where the disc is going. Interesting idea and technique.

I don't like lugging everything with me when playing, so I might just carry the body and the zoom with me (until recently, I've been using my 17-40, but I have some ideas on what I'd like to try with the zoom...)

Played a round today and carried the camera on the back nine and snapped a few shots. I'm starting to get a better hang of shooting the sport. I like how some of the ones I took today came out. Here are a couple of my favorites.
