Dixons to stop stocking 35mm

I heard on the news yesterday that Dixons are not going to be selling 35mm cameras anymore because people don't buy them. They are going to concentrate on digital from now on.

For anyone from outside the Uk Dixons is a very large electrical goods store here in the Uk. They also recently said they're going to stop stocking VCRs as well, I think they like stopping people from being able to get hold of older technology.

Just though you might like to know...

I don't think it's that they want to stop people from getting hold of older items. It's more a case of the average Joe on the street wanting the latest smallest piece of technology out there so they're feeding that market. It's where the big money is.
I've never bought anything from Dixons anyway. :lol:
 
oops missed the other thread, and yeah true enough I rarely shop in Dixons.
 
I shop there, but down in brighton (takes me a while to get there but hey, who cares) 2 jessops shops are close to 1 dixons shop...personally I prefere jessops, they will keep 35mm...
But alas, this is the first of many shops to fall...
