Does this color look right? Screen print of Gmail after Spyder 4 Calibration...

Please tell me if you agree or disagree about this image. I don't want to influence any answers, but does the image below look "correct" after calibrating it?

If you're signing into your Gmail account, it looks right.

If you're signing into something else, you've got a problem.

Unless you're concerned about how an HTML-based website is rendered, what is the point?

That said, does 'taking a screen shot' truly capture the colors shown on the monitor, or does it record the intended RGB values instead? By thins, I mean: Suppose you turn your monitor off and do a screen capture. Will the SC be pure black?

Looks grey to me, and Sparky's correct - a screen shot will duplicate what's supposed to be there. Now, a photograph of your screen, on the other hand . . .

Well, if I'm reading you right, the 'gray area' is 241:241:241, which is a true gray. What it looks like on your screen, and my screen as well, may be very different.
