Does this look too dark?

I took these with my cell phone but i was playing around with photoshop. the lighter picture is the original, does the 2nd one look too dark or about right? any other tips or advise. I am trying to learn anything with photoshop.

Curves adjustment? You've done a nice job of increasing contrast, but now there are several areas that are underexposed. I'd probably use a layer mask with the curves layer so I could apply the increased contrast only to specific areas, and I'd tone it down.

However, the big caveat is that this was taken with a phone camera. And obviously not an iPhone.

Yea it is too dark, I'd just tone it down some and add a little more saturation and sharpness to it.
