I think it's too cropped on the right side. That being said, he is a gorgeous dog!

i quess your right.. right pic wrong timing... thanks very much...

If you lived nearer i would shoot you a nice shot, this is too tight and it looks like there is another dog in the background. If you cant shoot on a background with lighting find a nice location and set up a shoot

Just had a look at the exif data and your shutter speed is too slow again thats why it looks soft

wow i would love that... when are you moving closer..? lol and yes i should not have even thought about this photo except that i loved his stance...dogs were in background..a definite no no..

I keep thinking oh my God the shedding!

not so bad... if you take 5 or 10 minutes out of your life every day... consistently... they look awesome and the hair never gets unmanageable.. must have a good vac though... that is once a day at least too.. but now ask me if he is worth it..................he is so worth it.....not just be cause of his beauty... but his loyalty and sweetness and absolutely funny.. personality has made me smile every day since he was a puppy... 2 years ago.. he is so gentle and smooth walking and so quiet.. too.. thanks for asking ...lol

Stunning shot .. so crisp and clean and makes me want another puppy.. what a beautiful little guy.. and you captured every essense of his cuteness.. those ears are just perfect... i will keep trying... how did you acheive this background..was he on black and then a black back drop too..

Here's one i shot at a dog show where i was printing on site, which had a similar lighting set up

Heres the set up and the awkward place i had to set up, i would normally use an octobox at the front, the light from behind had a 7" reflector fitted with a honeycomb grid

wow thats pretty elaborate set up... ;i wish i had a room set up like this... it does not look awkward to me.. but then i am sure you are so use to "doing it all yourself".. and you need it just right to feel confident ....these are additionally great pics, and i am glad you shared. i had no idea the way they set the room up for professional photos at the dog shows.

Thats just a simple 2 light set up, i had to shoot on a stool for the big dogs because my backdrop stand would not go higher and the bar area was quite high
