ahh looks good except for vignetting, i feel like im passing out while watching a dog, you know how everything gets dark and stuff? Well thats how i feel while i see vignetting

the original is the way to go with this image puyjapin.
i like the expression on the dog and the trees complete the image.
you could darken in curves a little, keeping the dogs face as a guide for the right level.

now you've got a halo around the dogs head.

going back to the bright one, try using recovery first for the snow and then back off the exposure or brightness of the whole photo, just enough to get some detail in the snow. the dog is most important, so make sure he still looks natural.
