No prices shown, so we still don't know how much is the doggie in the window.

This is more an idea (and a very contrived edit) than an edit on your image but if the doggie is still there, go back and shoot with a wider aperture to blur out the fore and backgrounds so the focus is only on the dog to the extent he is the most prominent feature in the scene but not so much that the other areas are indistinguishable.

Nice idea, but I won't be back there for a while. I'll try to do that in other shots.

Still thinking about your suggestion. I think I was so pleased to see the dog, I wasn’t thinking much of the photograph. I have to keep thinking I’m making an image when that is what I’m doing, and not just capture a nice subject. I know about selective focus and dof which made your comment even more of a learning moment!
 
The key here and it is for everyone is that you are MAKING an image. You control every aspect of the subject matter except the subject in most cases outside doing formal studies,
