Dogwood with Orton Effect

I shot these last week with my 50mm 1.8 then used the Orton effect in pp. What do y'all think?

It's a nice effect on the 2nd and 3rd I feel. Particularly in 2 as it merges into the light of the sky. I like how it softens/effects the bokeh in 3. Flowers make an excellent subject to use the effect - ethereal!

Well, you got me interested in the effect which is basically a fancy mixture of blur and brightness. I tried it out and it looks pretty cool depending on the subject. Yours came out pretty good I think - not as good as the scene with the 2 kids on the patio - but the softness and brightness works on flowers pretty well.

Thanks for posting, I like learning about different methods of editing.
