Finally got round to looking at a few shots from Sunday.

The mandatory crane shot.

The cobbles were so straight & uniform Alex was in heaven!

Now what are they all up to?

Ah! A pond!

OK is it a feather or a dead fish skeleton? (more skeletons later!)

I thought all living lillies were green & dead ones brown! How wrong I was!

Our guide and the signs told us all to keep off the grass...

Except me!

So through the hole in the wall we went - mainly taking notice of the warning signs to keep off the lawn...

Monty wielded her camera as Alex and Gela discussed things in the background...

Ferny - coming round after the pedestrian crossing incident, realise that there were no pillows around, and bit on his camera instead as Andy surprised him...

Seconds later, Andy went for a snooze but ferny didn't want the moment to end, and remained in the same spot for ten minutes

In the secret garden, we found our exit blocked as Louise had bolted the door behind us - what did she have in mind?

a peek over the wall showed the place to be deserted - who would hear our cries for help?

Eventually, a key pixie turned up and released us, and the TPF gang marched triumphantly like a jazz band on bourbon street using their cameras as trumpets

But it was all too much for Ferny and he collapsed when he found another door locked in front of him...

Charles Morgenstern had suffered a similar fate apparently...

Later on an Australian bird fell out of this tree!

Walking in step got Alex more excited than those boots!

I found an unlocked door so went inside & re-set the chess peices! Hope that wasn't someones game!!!

Unless it was his game! :lol:

Whilst peeping through windows I deduced it was recently someones 30th!!!

I couldn't imagine living here! Too much like the gray East for me!

The evening did get interesting, didn't it...

Where was I? Or right. Just after the dancing Louise took us to the chapel. Twas rather nice there. I'll not post the customary stained glass window shots. But I will show you the rather impressive ceiling;

She was also proud of the big organ;

I went back outside to join Andy and we laughed as loads of people came past to see what the singing was and then muttered to each other "ahh, just some tourists". Whilst I was there I snapped this;

Then it was time for pub! Alex dived straight in;

To follow on with the car talk. Took my halfshafts to a mate who makes a living repairing and restoring Triumphs. Both wheel bearings are fooked as are the UJ's. One rather badly! All needs replacing including one shaft (the bearings run on the shafts...) and I might need two. Depends on what he finds when he takes them apart. I've left them with him to rebuild.
