Here's an image I've created, while going for an edgy and dramatic look.

I like the look of the model, but in this case I don't like the two strobes.

Overall I think the light is good and I like your image. If you want some critiques..ok maybe would like to see some more light on the right side on models eye. Because in this case eyes look different and a bit odd. But as I said for me this is still very good image.

The lighting on the left side gives that left eye a droopy appearance. I don't know how you could of fixed that and keep the cool look of the photo. I've always liked darker exposures for males.

I concur with above comments about the lighting, but my other cent to add would be to either crop a LOT closer, or reshoot so you aren't cutting off his hair or fingers.

I definitely agree.
For next time, better crop, more fill, better catch light, and a bit less nuking on the edge lights.

I like the dramatic lighting.
Would prefer all the hands of none, cut in half not so much.
I think per your explanation you achieved you goal.
