Amen...From a registered "Pumpkin Spice" hater. Just got a big Mason jar of a friend's Granny's kimchee--mild, savory, not over-garlic-ed but nicely hot. I had no idea till I found out years back how catty Korean matrons get over this stuff--whose rocks and whose sucks. Man, they're nasty! Funny thing is these beat-downs usually play out at regular church socials in the Toronto suburbs where most Koreans live.

Are you talking about the Photoshop subscription price? I have not noticed an increase of price there, but I will keep an eye on it. I would probably continue anyway as I really do like it, and use it routinely.

I deleted here, and re posted in the another thread. Yes the Photography plan that included LR, PS and Br, jumped from 9.99 to 16.99.

I enjoy the blend of pumpkin pie spices in, y'know, pumpkin pie. They can also be tasty in some baked goods, like zucchini or banana bread, or spiced muffins. Beyond that? It needs to stop. I like a good chai, but those spices are different and that's in tea. The only flavor that I like in my cup of coffee is coffee.

Yup, like gochujang(which I adore)getting slipped into all the wrong places. Not all these spice palettes travel that well. Like LaoGanMa brand chili crisp showing up where it didn't belong. Amazed some younger, hipster/bougie neighbors today by staying sober enough to slo-cook ribs for (only)4+hrs. Questioned mercilessly about what dry rub I massaged into the pork--whaaat? When asked, said my politics were to the left of Rosa Luxemburg. That occasioned some furious Google searches and mostly total abandonment--hah!

"Smoke Gets In Your Photos-and-Videos"

I have been hearing that the weather has been significantly bad with temperatures about three degrees F. above normal (I think I saw that in a weather report within the last couple of days). The resulting forest fires has kept residual smoke in the air causing a daily and nightly haze. This has discouraged me from my time-lapse attempts over the last couple of weeks. I have uploaded one today as an example of the results. Hopefully I'll get back to new recordings soon.

Babylon 5: Uhh

"Babylon 5" was a TV show that I eventually watched. I think I've seen most of it. Depending on what day of the week I think about it, it was "really good", or "almost good". It sort of polarizes my mind. First, the 3D graphics were cheaply done. It was not the best available, it was the best the creator (one creator?) could afford. It was done on Commodore Amiga computers. But I didn't usually mind that. The music was done by a famous musician, but was kind of "symphonic bland". Again, not terrible, but not wonderful.

Anyway, I've run into a couple of recent podcasts that say that the show may be coming back again. I'm actually kind of enthusiastic about that possibility, though it's hard to say why. Anyway, here's a recent short clip (about 12 min) about B5 (posted to YouTube by "Phintasmo"Jul 21, 2024):

Well, $3300 gone has taught me to drink more water! Was in the hospital last weekend with vertigo, hyper tension and SEVERE dehydration. Stupid Scotty!
Yikes! Grew up in PHX and over many summers never got close to that. Got laid low by heat exhaustion in Toronto a few years back during a hot spell. Forgot all the old tricks...Drink lots--water preferably!

Lesson learned, right? Glad you're okay! ❤️

Listen to your body. 💧

Temp. is still sort of floating high-ish. The sky is sort of clearing. Last night I saw three stars, which means there was still humidity up high regardless of how it felt near the ground. I'm not getting done what I want to get done. Oh well. . . .

Dehydration is not obvious until you faint. I drink a lot of fluid in the morning deliberately, and I don't stay outdoors much beyond 85 deg F. I go out to get something done and head back indoors.
