I like it - good use of light... it's very mysterious.

Just an FYI you had trouble because you were using a shortened URL with some junk on the end (?v=0)... if you use this one:

This is some wonderful "drama" that you managed to capture in the woods. Good exposure of what I consider is a difficult light situation (I have struggled with taking well-exposed photos in the woods for long), very well done. A beautiful first photo, one that makes me look forward to more from you .

In the interest of humility - while I did capture the light beam in camera, I added ALOT of the drama by tweaking the contrast and exposure in photoshop. I hate seeing pics like this without knowing how people did it - so, I like to share I will post more soon - but, please dont be afraid to criticize (in fact, please please do), this helps me get better!
