I had the strangest dream last night, and I blame Jazzie.

I dreamt that I sold ALL of my Nikon equipment and bought a 5d mk3, and a 50mm instead.

I say dream - might have been a nightmare.


so ... pros and cons of a Nikon D7100 vs Cnon 5d mk3 - I have to ask now it just appeared in my head overnight.

You can't really compare a d7100 to a 5DIII...Two totally different animals. Two totally different classes of cameras.

You might as well compare a D800 to rebel T4i and ask what to do.

Changing systems is always a PITA, and you will almost always lose money on it.
Save for a FF nikon if you already have good nikon lenses.

I would personally hate to be stuck with only one lens..especially a fixed length.

This is true! IDK why I asked. I already know they're different in every single way.

I once had a dream where I jumped into a pit of hungry lions wearing a pickle suit. Strangely enough later when I woke up - I didn't actually go out and do it for real.

Fortunately, I only dream about lenses for the system I currently use. Lucky me!

Well if were talking about a dream that involves fast cars, beautiful womeon or copious amounts of cash.. sure.. follow your dream young man.

If were talking about a dream that simply doesn't make sense - well, then chalk it up to bad anchovies on last nights pizza and move on with your life.

Interesting. Being a Canon user, I sleep soundly at night with no dreams of system switching. :mrgreen:



Of course, there are the occasional nightmares about low iso shadow banding.
