Boring.
The lighting and color seems dull and the subject itself isnt that interesting..

Frequency. Unfortunately, it's not one of your better efforts photographically. The blown out sky and bare tree echos your thoughts of where's spring already. So I guess in that respect it does succeed in expressing your purpose of capturing the scene. Hope that this makes sense, as it's kind of tough to express what I'm trying to say.

As-is, it doesn't do a lot for me, BUT, I think if you convert it to pure black and white, crop it so as to remove the large dark trunk areas lower left and the open space upper-right and then convert to a negative, you might have an interesting abstract.

while i do like the idea of the pattern, the way it is done does not convince me.did you try to make it a pure black and white with no grey-scale? as in pushing contrast to the extreme?
