dSLRs and water?

Where I live we have two seasons: rainy and dry. When I leave my apartment my camera is always over my shoulder. In the rainy season I carry an umbrella.

If it's a light shower I pull my shirt-tail over the camera, put up my umbrella up, and keep walking. If I have to walk in a hard rain, I slip the camera into my daypack. I have yet to see a picture I was so desperate to get that I'd stand in a downpour to take the shot. I can normally step into a doorway.

Both of my DSLRs have gotten rain on them. I wipe them off and go about my business.

Lou Brock, shortstop for the Cardinals back in the 70's, used to wear one of those Umbrella Hats during warm ups before the games. Cards fans will forever call it the "BrockUmbrella."

Sorry for the random trivia!!
