Ducks, Geese, Birds oh my! - C&C PLEASE!

This is the first time I've gone out (outside of a trip) to photograph animals, in this case a bunch of water birds at the park.

I was shooting with my Nikon D750 and 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6. Settings were generally: 1/500 shutter speed, f/5.6, ISO 6400. It varied, but that's about average.

I could use some feedback from some of you pros.

More posted in comment. I know it's a lot, but thank you for your patience. One issue I noticed was noise. I think it's probably because my shots were underexposed.

it is a muscovy duck and my guess is that it is a captive bird as well as number 20 and19 are most likely captive ducks not sire what type 20 and 19 are thoughMuscovy duck - Wikipedia

Yeah, I figured it was something different. Didn't realize they were rare. How interesting.

That's a lot of pictures
To me, there's 3 shots standing out from the rest. It's #8, #11 and #12.
#8 is just very well composed and the black & white creates a nice contrast between the mallard, the reflection and the water.
#11 and #12 are standing out because you're at eye level with the animals. You should always try to get a perspective that's "other than the usual". Humans are used to look down at most animals from above. If you do something other than the usual, you always get the attention of the viewer.
When I'm shooting ducks, I always lay down my cam on the ground, activate live view and use a IR-Remote to take the pictures. Looks very funny sometimes but it's worth it.
