Early morning Myrtle Beach

I took this three years ago. I'm on again off again when it comes to taking black and white. This I felt was a good capture. What is right or wrong with it?

Wow, nice pic. The silhouette and glare really work. What is that figure thug? It looks like a bird with 4 legs!

The silhouette is of a man wearing a hat sitting in a folding canvas chair on the beach with the waves washing up past him. it was about 20 minutes after sunrise. I shot this from our 12'th floor balcony with a Canon Rebel EOS XS and a Canon 75-300mm Zoom.
In the original exposure there were about 6 other beach walkers and a man surf fishing. I tried a number of crops with different combinations and this one was by far the best.
The next several mornings I was back on the balcony waiting for another good photo but nothing presented itself nor was the glare itself duplicated because of cloud cover. Just another lesson that if you don't have your camera ready you're not going to be taking any pictures - good or bad.
