Cool looking roots. I think you're conversions are fine. You touched the whites and blacks, with nothing over powering, and no real loss of of detail. Good job!

I agree with woody, the tonal range you've used suits the picture well, i wouldn't change any of the range or contrast at all. Good pictures really like number 2 :thumbup:
