Both images are fine in composition. I like the warm feel to the first photo, maybe it's a bit too rich in color.

The second photo clearly suffers with the long exposure in both blur and sunlight.

Cpeay, an idea for the future. If you're doing LONG exposures where leaves are involved, even a slight breeze can make the photo look really soft with the moving leaves. Grab an exposure without the filter, then with. Manually blend the exposures with layer masks, and you can get the desired effects on the water without deteriorating the other aspects of the image.

Here's a 30 second exposure blended with a 1/200 second exposure. Leaves are sharp, as well as the desired effect on the water. Leaves Framing Fall | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
