These guys are very common around any water on Australia's east coast. They are so common thatI usually forget they could even be a photo subject. Today while I was out having pretty rotten luck with my target species I noticed this fellow looking particularly dashing so got a shot of him. Let me know what you think.

Nothing common about those here Dan ;) Beautiful colours, textures and a great pose for you. Excellent BG for it, man I want one !! The shadow on the rock gives this added depth.

All the best Dan, fine shot from over there.

Danny.

Thank you both for the nice comments. They are a beautiful lizard when you stop to look at them.

I saw one similar Dan up in Fogg Dam, Nolan said about it, but I can't remember what it was. Next time I'm over your way I need to spend 3-4 weeks at least. Now I also know what lenses to bring and also a decent camera, I just wasn't prepared for what you have next door. Its a wildlife heaven in Aussie.

All the best Dan and as I said, just a fine shot and what a subject !!. Love those colours and details.

Danny.

Beautiful shot !!! I'd trade you a bucket full of water snakes for one of those, who am i kidding, i'd give away buckets full of water snakes if i could find someone to take them

Daniel: Everything works in this shot: beautiful capture! Lee
