Eco-photography

Hey guys,

Does anyone know of any photographers that specialize in this field [eco-photography]? Preferably black & white. The only material I can find is on landscapes, pretty nature, etc. but I'm looking for photography that packs a punch. I.e. conservation-based, photos that scream protection for nature.

If anyone's ever read anything by Edward Abbey (novels), I'm looking for the photographic representation of his doctrine. Shocking photos, perhaps? Symbolic ones.

Anything would be great - thanks for reading.
