Editing advice on this picture

I'm using this to practice editing B&W's, in this sort of image...do you (relative) want to clean up the blemishes, like the ones in the slats at the bottom, or leave them for a natural "as is" look? Or is it all really just personal preference?

Nice image! I'm on my cell phone but I think it looks good as is.

Thanks. Just got done going through the "keepers" of the set, now I gotta see what's worth editing and make them the real "keepers" might be narrowed down to 1 or 2 here shortly. lol.

As for whether to clean up blemishes or not, IMO it's personal preference.

I think the blemishes really help the picture out, situating it in the real world. It's not quite surreal enough to get away with being an abstract, unless you want to start editing out bolts and every other artifact of reality.

Funny you say that 'cause I was thinking that same thing, when looking close to edit blems...I was like "well...then I gotta do nuts, bolts, welds..." so I figured just leave it.
