I'm looking for a good one, but really the only ones I know of are Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom. Are there any other good ones? Which ones do you guys use?

Think about all the things that you spend money on during the month.

Then think about if you can possibly make room for $9.99 a month.

If the answer is yes, then I highly recommend getting the photoshop / lightroom combo.

It has the most features and the most help. For example "how to change out a sky using photoshop".

These two are certainly the most popular. Further... they aren't just popular with the users of the software, they're also popular with the developers of plug-ins. You'll also find many (and probably most) online tutorials show you how to do adjustments to photos... in Lightroom or Photoshop.

BTW, Parker made a comment about the $10/month - Adobe has a subscription model to allow you to use both Photoshop and Lightroom for $10/month provided you sign-up for a minimum 1 year subscription. However, they'll also sell a perpetual license. I think Lightroom is about $150 for a perpetual license.

If you shoot RAW (and even if you don't... if you're serious about photography you'll probably eventually start shooting RAW) then you'll want something that can support the RAW formats of your camera(s).

Light room is cheap if you're a student. ~$70 I believe. And GIMP is a great Photoshop substitute.

I want to start shooting in RAW, and I plan to once I get a software where I can edit the RAW images. I've got Adobe Lightroom 5 right now. Now I just gotta figure out how to use it haha.
