editing program

Im new to the whole photography thing, I need an editing program, that is basic, but works good. I have only 256 ram so no photoshop or any of that because it wont work well at all.

Photoshop Elements is an alternative. You can also try GIMP, which is free. Paintshop Pro is yet another option.

for basic viewing and simply things such as RGB color shifts, contrast brightness gamma, sharpness, cropping, grayscale and my two favorite, red eye and quick resizing, I use FastStone Image Viewer

I only have 256 ram also and PS7 works just fine. It does start to lag after about 30-40 mins use though.

that would be ur cpu heating up, and ram , open ur case and get more cooling, or just restart ur pc and it should cool it off. had the same probelm got better cooling and it runns smooth, unless its been on for days
