This morning my wife screamed and called for me to come quick, of course I jumped up to see what was wrong expecting to see blood or something equally distressing.

When I arrived I didn't see anything, she then points to the door frame and says "don't you see that giant spider?". Well the "Giant" spider turned out to be about a 1/2" jumping spider, I scooped him up in a plastic cup and took him outside and snapped a quick pic.

I am like your wife, scared stiff of all spiders but it`s a phobia of mine ever since being bitten by a Red Back in Australia when I was very young. To help me with the phobia I try to take macro`s of them.

Or you could keep him around in case the DW makes you mad, then snap a quick picture of her when she finds it. LOL

It´s too bad people are so afraid of spiders but understandable. Some can give humans a poisionous bite. They are certainly a facinating and successful evolutionary line.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I really like bugs and insects, it's funny, I always try and take thier picture even though I am allergic to bee stings. Most bugs are like people, harmless until provoked.

I did get bit in the armpit by a spider once while I was in bed, gotta tell ya that did smart a bit.
