EF 100-400mm f4.5/5.6L

This wasn't an L lens but it was 100-400mm so It should give you a good idea of the 'reach' of the lens.

Out of interest Xmetal, were you using a polarizing filter for those shots? They don't seem to suffer from any glare or reflection from the windscreens.

 

Looks like a pretty over cast day to me.

 

It was overcast and I was using a lens hood.
