EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM vs EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II vs

1) The STM has somewhat better contrast and resolution than the other lens
2) The STM has much better autofocus motors than the other lens. They will be almost too quiet to hear even with your face next to the camera, and should operate faster and more precisely.

That's pretty much it.

I'm thinking about sell my kit lens and buy STM version. Do you think it would worth it or stay with my kit lens?
Well your kit lens won't sell for any more than half at best of its MSRP since lots of people sell them and the market is glutted. You might get $80 for it. So your cost of upgrade would be 250-80 ish = 170 bucks.

Worth it, I'd say, only if you do videography, and want to eliminate focusing sounds from recording on your microphone.

Not worth it otherwise. The speed of the autofocus would really only be a particularly useful upgrade otherwise for fast moving sports, etc., and an 18-55 is not a very appropriate sports/action/birding lens, so that would be a little silly IMO.
