Egret and a foggy morning

It is tough getting up early when we stay at camp since I don’t sleep well. Luckily my dog got restless so I forced myself up and grabbed the camera bag. I was in awe when I saw the lake. Nice mist/fog, egrets, a GBH, and the sun starting to turn the mist pink. Two of the egrets left a short time after I arrived, but one didn’t seem to care even when the tractor started to clean the beach. For quite awhile it was me and the egret. This is the first time in my life, and certainly on this beach that I’ve even seen egrets here in northern New York. I believe it’s a great egret.

Nice set, #2 is my favorite. The great egrets are beautiful birds but usually hard to capture close up due to them being skittish. Getting a decent shot of one is an accomplishment.
